The European Union Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) plays a central role in fostering the integration and completion of the European Internal Energy Market for electricity and natural gas. ACER has the power to adopt binding individual decisions. Any directly and individually concerned natural or legal person can appeal against those decisions before ACER’s Board of Appeal, which consists of six members and six alternates serving a five year term. The terms of the current members and alternates will end on 18 October 2021. The new members and alternates will be selected and proposed by the Commission, following this call for expression of interest, and formally appointed by ACER’s Administrative Board.
