On the occasion of International Plastic Bag Free Day, take a look at what the EU is doing to eliminate the use of plastic bags and disposable plastics more generally, and to promote eco-friendly reusable alternatives.

The Commission has proposed five large-scale European Defence Projects of Common Interest (EDPCIs), to help EU countries strengthen their defence capabilities by developing key military systems together. It has allocated €325 million to support the establishment and deployment of these projects.
