EU students

Exchange possibilities for students within and outside the EU.

Erasmus+ study exchange

The EU's Erasmus+ programme enables students and learners to study abroad both within and outside of the EU. Opportunities are available for students studying at the following levels:

  • Bachelor
  • Master
  • Doctorate
  • vocational education

It is also possible to combine studies abroad with a traineeship.

A student's study period abroad can last from a minimum of 3 months to a maximum of 12 months. It must be relevant to the student's degree-related learning and personal development needs. You can apply through the international or Erasmus+ office of your higher education institution.

See the full list of participating countries in Erasmus+ study exchange programme.

Also available is the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree (EMJMD), which is an international study programme, jointly delivered by an international consortium of higher education institutions.

ErasmusPro

Erasmus+ supports traineeships (work placements or study periods abroad) for students currently enrolled in Vocational Education and Training (VET), in higher education institutions and recent graduates.

It can either take place in the workplace or in another VET institution with periods of work-based learning as part of student studies.
