Smart Cities Marketplace Forum – Towards a just and clean urban transition

This year’s Smart Cities Marketplace Forum will take place in Brussels on 26-27 April 2022.

Smart Cities Marketplace Forum 2022

This year’s Smart Cities Marketplace Forum will be organised in collaboration with the Covenant of Mayors Office and the European Innovation Council and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency, among others partners, and will include a welcome and opening keynote by the European Commissioner for Energy, Kadri Simson. Participants will be able to network and build capacity, exchange knowledge on the clean energy transition, funding and financing opportunities, and learn how to improve citizens’ quality of life by integrating innovative and clean-technology solutions in Europe.

The event aims to tackle common challenges and build upon best practices on collaborations between public and private partners, as well as model cases in risk handling. The Explore-Shape-Deal Matchmaking process of the Smart Cities Marketplace, jointly with private financing and supporting EU instruments, contributes to the upscaling of smart city solutions.

The event programme will also look into the future of the Smart Cities Marketplace to support a just and clean urban transition, offering participants the possibility to engage in matchmaking activities, action cluster meetings, political discussions and interactive networking and parallel sessions.

Besides the physical convention, participants can attend this event remotely (livestream sessions are indicated in the agenda) via Veertly.
