10th high-level meeting of the EU Refining Forum

The 10th high-level meeting of the EU Refining Forum will take place as a webinar on 18 February 2021.

The discussion will focus on key developments and policy initiatives relevant for the refining industry, which took place during the first year of the von der Leyen Commission, as well as their implications. It will focus in particular on the European Green Deal and its implications for industry, recovery, and the role of the renewable and low-carbon fuels on the way towards climate-neutrality.

The Commissioner for Energy, Kadri Simson, and top officials from Directorate General for Energy and from other services of the European Commission will attend the meeting together with invited high-level speakers from refining industry and other energy intensive industries, trade unions, and representatives of EU Member States, members of the European Parliament and other organisations.

The EU Refining Forum was established in 2013. The aim of the Forum is to provide an opportunity for the industry, EU countries, Members of the European Parliament, the Commission and other stakeholders to discuss initiatives with potentially significant impacts on the EU oil refining and energy intensive industries, and on the EU's security of supply of petroleum products.
