Claudia Benetello is an Italian communications all-rounder. She completed a Master’s in political science with a focus on communication, a Master’s in music communication for the recording industry and the media, an advanced course in English-Italian interpreting, and a specialist Master’s in copywriting and advertising communication. After two jobs in the corporate sector, she started her own freelance business, Dropinka, in 2005. Since then, she has co-translated U2’s autobiography, interpreted for Noel Gallagher, interviewed Simple Minds and written advertising copy for world-famous brands – either writing original copy in Italian or transcreating copy into Italian from English and German. A speaker on transcreation since 2012, she gives lectures and workshops internationally, and has authored several peer-reviewed papers. In 2024, she released the tool Dropinka Deck for Transcreation.
