Page contents Page contents Disclaimer: This page exclusively serves information purposes and is not an exhaustive database of projects funded by the Recovery and Resilience Facility. Notably, the map provides a snapshot of projects based on the current status of their implementation. It does not reflect the distribution of the projects funded by the Recovery and Resilience Facility across the different areas within Slovenia. The map will be regularly updated to include additional projects and information. The showcase of the projects in this page is without prejudice to any future assessment by the Commission in the context of the verification of the satisfactory fulfilment of milestones and targets pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2021/241 of the European Parliament and of the Council establishing the Recovery and Resilience Facility. The measure references mentioned below are those contained in the Annex to the Council Implementing Decision approving the Slovenian Recovery and Resilience Plan and allow for easy identification of the measures For more info on the investments, please contact the Commission’s representation COMM-REP-LJUec [dot] europa [dot] eu (COMM-REP-LJU[at]ec[dot]europa[dot]eu) Cross border and multi-country projects - European Common Data Infrastructure and Services (reference C2.K1.ID in the SI Recovery and Resilience Plan) The objective of the multi-country projects on European common data infrastructure and services is to develop and deploy the new generation of low power infrastructure and services from Edge to Cloud, to ultimately equipping the EU with global, forward-looking, ultra-secure, green industrial data processing capabilities. Copyright: Slovene government In March 2021, the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology launched a Call for corporate interest in participating in a multi-country cross-border project of common European data infrastructures and services, planned to be implemented as Important Project of Common European Interest (IPCEI) on Next Generation Cloud Infrastructure and Services. By mid-2024, at least seven projects should contribute towards the development and initial rollout of the next generation of innovative cloud and edge solutions to ultimately contribute to the building of a European Common Data Infrastructure and its associated innovative Smart Processing. More information on the investment can be found here. Cross border and multi-country projects - Low-Power Processors and Semiconductor Chips (reference C2.K1.IE in the SI Recovery and Resilience Plan) The objective of the multi-country project on Low-Power Processors and Semiconductor Chips is to strengthen the capabilities in design and increase the resilience of EU and Slovenian semiconductor value chains, connect national and EU processes, and strengthen the microelectronics value chain. This will be done through (1) a modular approach (tools and equipment, materials, design, manufacturing, packaging and testing), driven by the needs of the industry, (2) the definition of a microelectronics ecosystem, (3) integrating the whole microelectronics ecosystem in Europe. Copyright: Slovene government The Ministry of Economic Development and Technology launched a call for corporate interest for the project of Microelectronics in April 2021 . The covered areas are communication chip design, development of advanced semiconductor processes, system integration and cores for the use in different smart mobility applications, smart cities and communities and smart factories. Six companies expressed their interest. By mid-2023, at least three projects are expected to start.
