Sono circa 32 000 tra personale permanente e temporaneo. Tra questi figurano funzionari responsabili delle diverse politiche, ricercatori, giuristi e traduttori.
Codice di condotta
Nell'esercizio della loro attività professionale, sia durante il mandato che dopo la cessazione delle funzioni, i funzionari europei sono guidati da un codice di condotta che sono tenuti a rispettare. Le norme sono enunciate nello statuto dei funzionari e nel codice di buona condotta amministrativa.
Se un cittadino ritiene che un dipendente della Commissione abbia violato il codice di condotta, può presentare una denuncia.
