25th Anniversary of the Charter of Fundamental Rights

December 2025 marked the 25^th anniversary of the proclamation of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union. To celebrate this important occasion, a conference entitled “25 Years of Rights: Reflecting on the Impact of the Charter” was organised jointly by the European Commission, the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights and the Danish Presidency of the Council of the European Union. 

The conference brought together approximately 200 representatives of the main stakeholder groups that contribute to the application of the Charter across the EU. It took place from 10 to 11 December 2025 in Brussels and online.
