What is the Safety Gate National Contact Points Network?
The Safety Gate National Contact Points Network is the network of Single National Contact Points responsible for the Safety Gate Rapid Alert System (Safety Gate). It ensures the swift exchange of measures taken against unsafe products on the Single market.
The Safety Gate National Contact Points are established under Article 25 of the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR). The roles and tasks of these Contact Points are laid down in Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/2639 and cover administrative and organisational obligations to ensure the smooth operation of the Safety Gate.
Structure
The Safety Gate National Contact Points Network consists of the designated National Contact Points from Member States and the relevant EEA countries, established under Article 25 of the GPSR.
