Since April 2026, Tommaso Chiamparino is the European Commission Coordinator for victims’ rights, succeeding the first Coordinator, Katarzyna Janicka-Pawlowska appointed in 2020.The Coordinator ensures consistency and effectiveness of actions in relation to the EU victims’ rights policy. In particular, the Coordinator is responsible for ensuring a smooth functioning of the Victims’ Rights Platform and implementation of the EU Strategy on victims’ rights (2020-2025).
