Riikka Hietakorpi is DG Translation’s Field Officer in Finland. She graduated from the University of Tampere, and spent ten years working as a translator in both the private and public sectors before joining DG Translation in 2021. At the European Commission Representation in Finland, Riikka provides urgent translations for the media and citizens, organises events and seminars, and promotes language-related professions and language learning. She follows the latest European developments in translation and language technology, including AI, and shares them with audiences across Finland.
