DepartmentCourt of Justice of the European Union Biography Raluca Peica has been Director-General for Information at the Court of Justice of the European Union since January 2022. She is a member of several EU inter-institutional boards and, since September 2022, Chair of the Inter-institutional Committee for Digital Transformation (ICDT). Before joining the Court in 2017 as Director of Information Technologies, she was Head of Unit.in charge of the European Schengen information systems for internal security (SIS II), border management (European Schengen VISA) and asylum (EURODAC) within the EU Commission agency eu-LISA; prior to that, she worked at NATO Headquarters in Brussels and in the private sector. Ms. Peica complemented her master’s degree in Economics and Information Technology from the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies with an executive programme at Harvard University, Massachusetts, and an MBA from the Sorbonne in Paris. Over the course of her 20-year career, she has leveraged her passion for technology in both the private and public sectors and worked in several industries, including telecom, banking, defence, justice and home affairs.
