Description

A study conducted on behalf of the European Commission, evaluating the Commission’s prizes.

The evaluation was conducted by Tetra Tech between November 2021 and December 2022.

The objectives were to: better understand the position of the Commission’s prizes in the broader landscape of the EU and international prizes; evaluate the potential of effectiveness and efficiency gains by assessing the existing prizes’ relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, coherence, EU-added value; assess the potential of increasing prizes’ communication value and to recommend measures for rationalisation and increased communication impact; design a more strategic approach to their future use by the Commission.
