CYCLON-HIT , HYPROGEO and SUCCESS received yesterday the “Etoiles de l’Europe” award. Jean-Eric Paquet and Dominique Vidal, French Minister of Research, attended the ceremony that took place in Paris, at the Quai Branly - Jacques Chirac Museum. CYCLON-HIT CYCLON-HIT is an Innovative Training Network (ITN) funded by the MSCA programme, which developed new strategies to fight bacteria resistance to antibiotics. The project – led by CNRS – was selected by the jury as it went beyond the initially planned objectives, it highly involved women and led to an outstanding number of publications. HYPROGEO HYPROGEO developed an innovative engine module for satellites based on hybrid propulsion, which is much cleaner than the highly toxic propellants currently on the market. The project was implemented by key actors on propulsion technologies led by Airbus France and has been recognised for its innovation potential and its contribution to the European competitiveness in Space. For more information, watch the project video. SUCCESS SUCCESS identified innovative solutions to strengthen the competitiveness of European fisheries and aquaculture industries by focusing on sustainable production practices and value chain systems that value quality and local products towards consumers. The project was led by Université de Bretagne Occidentale and was awarded in the open science category. For more information, watch the project video.
