60 (out of 64) projects from 2018 Societal Challenge 2 calls attended the Coordinators' Day on 6 June. Eight clustered sessions were organised to foster cooperation and synergies between consortia. The participation of different EC services broadened the scope of the discussion to policy developments and similar ongoing projects and initiatives at EU level.

In total, 80 participants representing 60 projects (out of 64) funded under 2018 SC calls attended the event.

Following last year’s feedback, greater emphasis was placed on clustering projects into eight different thematic sessions where coordinators presented their projects and explored opportunities for cooperation.

The presence of policy officers from other services of the European Commission extended the scope of the discussions to the policy developments at EU level in their respective areas.

The participation of the Executive Agency EASME and BBI Joint Undertaking in different sessions further promoted the opportunity to network and allowed them to see other funding opportunities and existing projects.

Networking continued during lunchtime with two workshops where coordinators shared best practices on ‘Multi-Actor Approach’ and ‘International cooperation’ during a project’s implementation.

The afternoon session focused on providing guidance and tips for coordinators to efficiently manage projects and improve their success on different aspects of implementation, from data protection to open access.
