Commission supports Portugal in removing barriers to business

The European Commission participated today in an event to mark the end of a programme to simplify administrative procedures in Portugal, the Simplex+ and the launch of its successor programme iSimplex2019. Simplex+ is Portugal’s main policy tool to help reduce administrative burden. It aims to simplify people’s lives and make doing business easier by eliminating or reducing administrative costs and improving the efficiency of public administration. The European Commission provided a qualitative and quantitative assessment of measures included in the Simplex+ programme through the Structural Reform Support Programme (SRSP). The SRSP offers tailor-made expertise to all EU countries for the implementation of growth-enhancing reforms. The support is based on demand and is tailor-made for the beneficiary Member State.
