Clear Writing for Europe 2021

Have you got an interesting story to tell or experience to share? Then the European Commission would love to hear from you!

Later this year, the Commission’s clear writing team is running the Clear Writing for Europe 2021 conference. Organised in partnership with the other EU institutions, the conference aims to highlight the EU’s efforts to promote clear and effective written communication.

We’re inviting representatives and practitioners involved in plain language to participate in this event.

If you or your networks would be interested in presenting ways to communicate more clearly in writing, help us shape the Clear Writing for Europe 2021 programme by submitting your proposal for a presentation. The deadline to apply is 21 May 2021.

The conference will be an opportunity to:

• raise awareness about the importance and benefits of clear writing and emphasise the need for clear and inclusive language;
• promote cooperation, improve knowledge sharing and exchange best practices;
• look to the future and see what we can all do to promote a clear writing culture in Europe in the decade to come!

The conference will take place between 13-14 October 2021.
