Andalusia’s green budgeting approach and sustainable bond framework

The Regional Ministry of Finance and European Financing of the Junta de Andalucía in Spain organises a seminar in collaboration with European Commission’s DG REFORM, titled: “Sub-sovereign sustainable debt: The role of EU regions in financing the sustainable transition”

The seminar will address the role of European regions in financing sustainable transition.

The seminar will take place in Sevilla on 2 December 2021. The format is hybrid (both in presence and virtual) with a panel of top-level speakers, including representatives from the European Commission, Spanish Autonomous Communities and other European regions.

The seminar focuses on the sustainability of the public debt and on how the budget should be connected to public policies’ sustainability. Moreover, the initiative is aimed at showing how Andalusia is actively participating in promoting a new approach on issuance of sub-sovereign debt.

Simultaneous interpretation into/from English will be provided.
