The European Commission co-hosted, together with the European Investment Bank and the European Stability Mechanism, the fifth edition of the Capital Markets Seminar which took place in Luxembourg on 5th and 6th of June. The event, sub-titled “Europe United: Stability, growth, integration”, looked into how the EU institutions mobilise markets to support growth and economic integration. It also explored the investment climate and business opportunities offered by the EU institutions' presence in the capital markets and discussed the evolution of the EU as an issuer. The event, targeted to specialized audience with focus on funding via the capital markets, featured numerous high level speakers, including Commissioner for Budget and Administration Johannes Hahn and Director General for Budget Stéphanie Riso. The event was attended by more than 300 participants, virtually and physically.
