In April, 112 students from MA-level translation study programmes across Europe participated in the 2022 eMT challenge. The challenge revolved around evaluating automated quality estimation in machine translation. Participants had to complete a multiple-choice exercise and write a mini-essay, and could choose any of the EU’s 24 official languages. Best performers per language and 3 overall winners Congratulations! If you’re curious about the challenge, why not see for yourselves how you would have done in the multiple-choice exercise?
