In total, €100 million are available to co-fund DPs and FPs, respectively for the most promising early-stage researchers and experienced researchers. This is an opportunity for researchers to top up existing funding at regional, national and international level with EU funding.

Projects will be selected for EU funding with the support of external independent evaluators drawn from the European Commission's experts' database. Proposals evaluations are expected to start in October 2020, and the results of this selection process will be known by February 2021 at the latest. REA will then sign grant agreements with the successful applicants in May 2021.
