The Research Executive Agency (REA) has received 133 project proposals for the MSCA-COFUND-2019 call by the call deadline, yesterday. In total, €90 million are available to fund Doctoral Programmes and Fellowship Programmes for the most promising early-stage researchers and experienced researchers, respectively. Both Programmes must run a selection process based on openness, transparency, merit, impartiality and equality for all researchers who are applying. COFUND is therefore an opportunity for researchers to top up existing funding at regional, national and international level with EU funding. Among the 133 submitted proposals, 63 proposals applied under the Doctoral Programmes and 70 under the Fellowship Programmes. Projects will be selected for EU funding with the support of external independent evaluators drawn from the European Commission's experts' database. Evaluation of the projects is expected to start in December 2019 and the results will be known by February 2020, at the latest. REA will then sign grant agreements with the successful applicants in May 2020. Details Publication date27 September 2019AuthorEuropean Research Executive AgencyLocationBrussels
