Marián Kabát works at Comenius University in Bratislava, where he teaches courses focused on literary and technical translation, software localisation (websites, video games and non-gaming software), and new translation technologies and procedures. His research focuses primarily on localisation, machine translation and current translation technologies. In 2024, he published the first Slovak monograph on the use of AI and large language models in translation. He is also the editor-in-chief of the scientific journal L10N Journal. As an active translator and localiser, he specialises primarily in software and video games.
