Maida Gorčević

Maida Gorcevic was born on December 28, 1987 in Bijelo Polje.

She graduated from the University of Montenegro - Faculty of Law, specializing in civil law. She is currently working on a Master's thesis. 

From 2012 – 2020, Maida Gorčević worked at the Publishing House "Nova knjiga" where she led book promotion strategies, represented the publishing house in the media, coordinated the International Podgorica Book Fair, managed international literary projects, etc. 

During the mandate of the 42nd Government of Montenegro, Maida was an Advisor to the Prime Minister for Minorities, tackling issues related to human and minority rights, as well as youth rights. Simultaneously, she presided over the Management Board of the "Official Gazette of Montenegro" and was a member of numerous government committees (Commission for Examinations for Work in the State Administration, Commission for Personnel and Administrative Issues etc). 

In 2023, Maida Gorcevic was elected as the member of Parliament of Montenegro, following which, the same year, she was appointed as Minister of European Affairs. Maida speaks English fluently, and has a basic knowledge of Italian and Russian. Mrs. Gorcevic is a participant of the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) on "Women, Peace and Security" and an alumni of the U.S. State Department, as well as a member of „Women’s Leadership Network“ (coordinated by the UNDP in Montenegro).
