It will help to identify unnecessary gold-plating that could fragment the single market and promote coordination on simplification strategies, contributing to the Better Regulation agenda. The Platform will also explore digital solutions to cut red tape for businesses, citizens and public administrations, with a focus on easing burdens for SMEs. Additionally, it will assess legislative complexity and density, advising on ways to improve efficiency and coherence in EU law. Role and structure Role and structure Composition The Platform will be composed of individuals experts, Member States, the Committee of the Regions and the European Economic and Social Committee.
