Outlook
In 2022, the Commission will continue important implementation work in the area of health and safety at work, as well as in the removal of barriers to full and equal participation in society and in the labour markets.
The Commission will:
- carry on with the handling of ongoing late transposition cases;
- finalise the conformity checks of the Directive establishing a fourth list of indicative occupational exposure limit values pursuant to Council Directive 98/24/EC (Commission Directive (EU) 2017/164);
- continue the follow-up of the transposition checks of the following directives: Directive 2019/1832; Directive (EU) 2019/1833; Directive (EU) 2019/1834;
- continue to support the transposition of the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882);
- initiate or continue the follow-up of the conformity checks of the Directives on the protection of workers from the risks related to exposure to carcinogens or mutagens at work (Directive (EU) 2017/2398, Directive (EU) 2019/130) and Directive (EU) 2019/983), and of Directive establishing a fifth list of indicative occupational exposure limit values (Directive (EU) 2019/1831);
- ensure the correct transposition and application by the Member States of the Directives on posting of workers (enforcement Directive (Directive 2014/67/EU) and amending Directive (Directive (EU) 2018/957)), including the finalisation of the conformity check of the amending directive;
- ensure the correct transposition and application by the Member States of the Employment Equality Directive (Council Directive 2000/78/EC);
- verify the completeness and conformity of the notified transposition measures of the Directive on transparent and predictable working conditions (Directive (EU) 2019/1152), and of Directive (EU) 2017/159 and Directive 2018/131/EU;
- adopt a report on the implementation of the Working Time Directive (Directive 2003/88/EC), along with an update of the Interpretative Communication C(2017)2601.
