Kaline Fernandes holds a Bachelor’s degree in Portuguese and English from the University of São Paulo and a Master’s degree in Marketing and Translation from INSA Business School. With over a decade of experience as a translator specialising in finance and accounting, she has worked in the aid and development sector with Tearfund since 2021. In her role as Translations Technical Coordinator, she oversees the organisation’s computer-assisted translation systems and leads the implementation of a hybrid approach that combines AI with human expertise. She is particularly focused on how high-quality translation and interpretation enable Tearfund to work effectively with churches and communities worldwide. Kaline is a committed Christian who lives in Swindon, England, with her husband and two small children.
