Jesús Sayols leads the Translation Technologies area at Amnesty International’s Language Resource Centre, where he also works as a linguist and translator. He is a member of Amnesty International’s Generative Artificial Intelligence Coordinating Committee, contributing to the organisation’s responsible use of AI in language work. Jesús holds degrees in translation, Chinese and translation technology, plus 2 PhDs in translation studies – from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and Hong Kong Baptist University. He also teaches translation at the Open University of Catalonia and brings extensive experience as a professional translator, educator and translation operations manager in both the public and private sectors.
