Jeroen Aspeslagh heads DG Translation’s editing service. Together with his team of editors and plain language experts, Jeroen helps the European Commission keep its promise to communicate with its many audiences in a clear, consistent and transparent way. He is member of the ISO Technical Committee 37 working group that develops plain language standards. Jeroen has over 30 years of experience in the public and private sectors in language services related functions. Prior to joining the EU institutions in 2011, he owned a small Brussels-based company providing translation, editing and copywriting services.
