Ingrid Haussteiner is currently employed by the European Central Bank, working in the Language Services team as Principal German translator. Ingrid is used to wearing many different hats – English translator and editor, presenter, project and team coordinator, tools specialist and innovator or conference moderator. Ingrid’s university training as a translator and interpreter (German, English and Russian) took her from Vienna to Scotland, the United States and Russia. Ingrid’s special interests include all things technological, clear and accessible communications, translation-related standards and professional development. She held various positions at the Austrian Interpreters’ and Translators’ Association UNIVERSITAS Austria and is certified by UNIVERSITAS Austria and the American Translators Association.
