DepartmentDirectorate-General for Digital Services Responsibilities Director Cybersecurity in the European Commission Biography Grzegorz Minczakiewicz is the Director in charge of Cybersecurity at the Directorate-General for Digital Services (DG DIGIT) in the European Commission. Through its mission, DIGIT enables, drives and supervises the Commission’s digital transformation, supports digital-ready policy making and facilitates stronger collaboration between European public administrations. In DIGIT since 2010, and working in close collaboration with the Cybersecurity Service for the Union institutions, bodies, offices and agencies (CERT-EU), Grzegorz has contributed to establishing and maintaining a cybersecurity programme in the Commission, encompassing its policy, technical, legal, procurement and administrative dimensions. As a leader, Grzegorz places particular focus on sharing the sense of purpose, acknowledging individual contributions and multiplying team performance by encouraging the development of skills and strengths of the staff members. Before joining the Commission, he worked in the European Defence Agency and in several companies in the telecommunication sector.
