International Product Safety Week 2026

The European Commission is organising the International Product Safety Week 2026, its flagship international event on product safety, bringing together 400–600 participants from around the world. 

Celebrating its 20th anniversary, this year's edition is held under the theme "Product Safety in Motion", reflecting how product safety continues to evolve alongside changing consumer markets, digitalisation and new technologies. 

Since 2006, the International Product Safety Week has provided a unique platform for regulators, market surveillance authorities, businesses, consumer organisations, international organisations, academics and other stakeholders to exchange experiences, discuss emerging challenges and strengthen international cooperation on product safety. 

The programme will feature keynote speeches, plenary discussions, workshops, panel sessions and flash talks covering topics such as: 

• Celebrating 20 years of international cooperation for Consumer Product Safety 

• Bringing the UN Principles on Consumer Product Safety to life 

• Exploring rapid alert systems around the world; Adapting product safety practices to new e-commerce trends, and new technologies 
• Cooperation and synergies for product safety enforcement and boosting enforcement with digital tools; 
• The role of standards to turn product safety requirements into practice 

• Advancing Child Safety; 

• Exploring visions for the future of product safety. 

As in previous editions, the International Consumer Product Health and Safety Organization (ICPHSO) will organise its International Symposium on 9–10 September under the title "Advancing a Global Baseline for Product Safety". A separate paid registration is required to attend the ICPHSO sessions.
