Description
This conference will look closely at recent COVID-19-related developments in the Slovak language. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the Slovak terminology database has been collecting new terms and currently contains over 860 terminology records related to COVID-19. These have had major impact on how we use language to describe the previously unknown phenomena surrounding us. We will also discuss the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on the Slovak translation market and the translator profession itself.
TEW will be webstreamed on Translating Europe YouTube (link will be available before the event) and event webpage: SLOVENSKÁ TERMINOLOGICKÁ SIEŤ (sharepoint.com)
