The virtual meeting of the sub-group on Food donation established under the EU Platform on Food Loses and Food Waste will focus on the recovery and redistribution of food during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The meeting will provide the opportunity to exchange lessons learned and to discuss on-line platforms to facilitate the recovery and redistribution of food during the Covid-19 pandemic. The Commission will also offer an update on the latest developments concerning the EU Contingency plan on food security and the European Fund for the Most Deprived (FEAD).
The meeting will be held exclusively in English and will be web streamed for everyone interested to follow the discussions. The recording and the presentations will be published on the European Commission’s food waste website shortly after the meeting takes place.
