
EU Energy Day is organised at the EU Pavilion of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27) in Sharm El-Sheikh and offers a series of high-level sessions that can be attended in person and streamed online through the links below
- 10.00-10.30 Opening of the EU Energy Day: Accelerating the green transition to power out of the energy crisis
- 11.00-12.00: Delivering on Glasgow’s commitments: Towards an inclusive and just transition (joint event with the World Bank)
- 12.30-13.30: Energy efficiency as a valuable resource - Boosting energy performance of the economy and renovating buildings (joint event with the International Energy Agency)
- 14.30 – 15.30 Delivering the EU goal that wind is 43% of Europe’s electricity by 2030 (EU-Wind Europe joint event)
- 16.00-17.00: Accelerating solar energy: A ribbon at a time (joint event with the International Solar Alliance)
- 17.30-18.30: Fueling the energy transition: Renewable hydrogen trade and partnerships for a carbon-free future (joint event with IRENA)
- 17.30-18.30 (online): Digitalisation for sustainability - Accelerating our sustainability agenda and the clean energy transition (joint event with the German Environment Agency)
To attend the sessions online, participants need to register and add the session they wish to access to their "Schedule" on the EU side events COP27 webpage. After the event, the recordings from all sessions will be available at the above links, but it is still necessary to login to access.
