Eva-Maria Tillmann is an expert in translation and quality management, holding a degree in Translation from the University of Bonn. At oneword GmbH, a boutique language service provider based in Germany, she has spent over 14 years shaping and refining translation project workflows for clients across diverse industries. Her leadership spans project management, team coordination, process optimisation, and automation. As Head of Quality Management and a certified quality auditor, Eva-Maria played a pivotal role in preparing oneword for certifications under ISO 17100, ISO 18587, and ISO 9001. Beyond her corporate role, Eva-Maria is committed to advancing quality and consistency in the language industry and is deeply involved in the standardisation of translation services. She chairs the German mirror committee at DIN (the German Institute for Standardisation) and contributes to several ISO initiatives, including by co-leading projects on post-editing of non-human translation (ISO CD 18587) and translation-oriented writing (ISO DIS 18968). She is part of the project leadership team for the main industry standard ISO CD 17100 on translation services, which is currently under review. Eva-Maria has also contributed to standardisation projects on translation project management, translation evaluation, and in-house translation departments.
