The European Commission is working on an action plan on the digitalisation of the energy sector to help develop a competitive market for digital energy services and digital energy infrastructure that are cyber-secure, efficient and sustainable. The action plan, presented as a roadmap, was open for consultation and the feedback was integrated in a public consultation (4 October 2021 – 24 January 2022). In addition, the Commission is organising a series of workshops between 16 February and 3 March, aiming to collect further input from stakeholders and other relevant Commission services.
