Workshop: Revision of the Renewable Energy Directive

The European Commission started the process of revising Directive 2018/2001 by launching a roadmap to collect feedback on the concept in 2020.

It was followed by a public consultation that was open to citizens and stakeholders from 17 November 2020 to 9 February 2021. In addition, a first stakeholder workshop was held on 11 December 2020, which attracted strong interest and participation from around 500 stakeholders from diverse industry associations, NGOs, academia, Member States and individuals.

The agenda for this second workshop includes opening remarks by Commissioner Kadri Simson.
