POSTPONED. Translation and technology

This TEW will focus on translation and technology. It will take place a at polytechnic university, thereby allowing to reaching out to (future) professionals in other economic sectors.
The Polytechnic Institute of Leiria works in partnership with Beijing Languages and Cultures University and Polytechnic Institute of Macao and offers degree studies (BS) in Translation and Interpretation of Portuguese/Chinese and Chinese/Portuguese. The institute has both Chinese and Portuguese students. The TEW will look at the use of technology when translating between European languages and Chinese.  The TEW is also an opportunity to discuss the state of play with machine translation in the Chinese market. DGT tools and methods will be presented and discussed with students, members of the academia and the industry.
