The European Commission is launching the Rural Energy Community Advisory Hub initiative and the related provision of technical assistance.

As an extension of the recently launched Energy Communities Repository, the European Commission is launching the Rural Energy Community Advisory Hub initiative, which aims to encourage and enable citizens, small businesses, farmers and local authorities to come together and set up energy communities in European rural areas.

The key activities of the Advisory Hub will include to identify best practices and provide technical assistance and networking opportunities to these type of initiatives and local stakeholders.

The launch will take place just after the Rural Pact conference, building upon the discussions on the long-term vision for the EU’s rural areas.

The event is open to any interested stakeholder, including energy communities representatives, national and regional politicians, local authorities and social and economic stakeholders involved in rural development.

The attendance is limited to 100 participants, so we encourage to register as soon as possible. Registration will only be valid upon reception of a confirmation e-mail.
