The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) General Conference takes place in September each year at the Vienna International Centre in Austria, gathering together representatives from more than hundred IAEA member states and international organisations. This year’s conference on global cooperation in the nuclear field will be the 66th.

The European Commission participates actively in the IAEA’s General Conferences. For the 2022 edition, it will share the EU stand with Italy and Romania. The members of the Commission’s delegation, led by the Commissioner for Energy, Kadri Simson, will meet with many international stakeholders in the area of nuclear safety.
