The European Citizens’ Initiative: Germany in focus

Discover and engage a tool to carry your ideas across the EU!

Discover and engage a tool to carry your ideas across the EU!

Do you want to discover how you can make an impact at EU-level on issues that you care about?

Join us to learn more about the unique possibilities the European Citizens’ Initiative tool offers for citizen participation and participatory democracy in Europe.

We will cover how the Initiative works and how people can get involved – and co-create a participatory space to connect, exchange and understand the support network available to initiative organisers.

The 2.5-hour event takes place online and focusses on a German audience.

Starting with a panel discussion (with interpretation offered from/to German and English), speakers will contextualise and highlight the European Citizens’ Initiative in today’s context where various participatory tools are available at local, national and European level. An overview of the process will be given, including where and how initiative organisers can get peer-based and professional support to successfully manage their initiative.

In the second part of the event (working language: German, without interpretation offered) participants split in smaller groups to exchange on specific topics, meet current initiative organisers and network. You are invited to choose your breakout session upon registration.
