The is organised by the EU Delegation in partnership with the local Tasi Mos movement. Tasi Mos is a spontaneous movement of citizens concerned about the environment that has been warning the public about problems created by waste left along the shore, through a civic education campaign that focuses on the collection of waste in the capital’s beaches. Their activities began in 2015, when a group of young people gathered to clean the Dolok Oan beach. It has been gaining more and more supporters, including members of the Timorese Government, Universities, schools, private sector, diplomats and UN Agencies. The Dolok Oan event will be the 3rd beach cleanup for the EU delegation in Timor-Leste. The last two editions proved to be a success in terms of participation of more than 500 people and collection of plastic! integrated maritime policy | fisheries policy Saturday 19 September 2020, 16:30 (+09)Dili, Timor-Leste Practical information WhenSaturday 19 September 2020, 16:30 (+09)WhereDolok Oan beach Dolok Oan beach, Dili, Timor-Leste Related events10-11Nov2021Conferences and summitsEU Arctic Forum and Indigenous Peoples’ DialogueBrussels, Belgium26Oct2021Conferences and summits#EUBeachCleanUp in IsraelAshkelon, Israel23Oct2021Conferences and summits#EUBeachCleanup in TaiwanTaiwanSee all
