The Beach cleaning this year has been designed to devise a programme of training activities that will build sustainable waste management capacity in the local area after the cleaning activity. This includes training the local community members along the beach in composting and creative upcycling of paper and plastic. This will be supplemented with the creation of a village-based recycling point, for the collection and sorting of waste.
