Within the framework of the "Puliamo il Mondo" initiative (i.e. the Italian edition of Clean Up the World initiative), the European Commission Representation in Italy will coorganise an awareness event on river litter together with Legambiente. The event will take place on the Tiber River and it will be an opportunity to raise awareness about the increasing challenges posed by river litter that reaches oceans trough waterways. The public will also be informed on what the EU is doing to fight marine litter (e.g. EU strategy for plastics in a circular economy or projects financed by the EU such as Medsealitter).
