The EU Delegation in Barbados is partnering with the Caribbean Youth Environment Network (CYEN) and neighbouring secondary schools in the clean-up of the beach along the stretch of the Richard Haynes Boardwalk on Friday, 20 September 2019. This exercise forms part of the annual observance of International Coastal Clean-up Day and is aimed at not only contributing to research on beach pollution, but also raising awareness of the impact of such pollution of the social, physical, and economic environment. The exercise will also assist students in completing their requirements of the Caribbean Certificate of Secondary Level Competence (CCSLC) examinations.
