The discussion focussed around cross-border co-operation in fields of border security, migration, terrorism etc. Co-speakers were Mr. Aimar Köss (Estonian Police and Security Guard) and Ms. Ülle Väina (Ministry of the Interior).Main messages of the CD:- Each Member State is responsible for guarding their borders, but because we are in the Schengen zone, then it's a joint concern;- The 2018 decision by the EC to conduct border guard/maritime operations in 3rd countries allows the EU to prevent migration pressure.
