The audience consisted mainly of legal experts with juridical background. The Commissioner was joined on stage by Mrs Sabine Matejka, President of the Austrian Association of Judges. Wolfgang Bogensberger of REP Vienna moderated the event.The Commissioner gave a comprehensive introduction into the political priorities and work programme of the new Commission in the areas of Justice, and reported about the challenges of his first weeks in office. He introduced his vision in his mission as Commissioner for Justice.The discussion focused on the aspects of better cooperation in the field of justice, mutual recognition of judicial decisions and exchange of knowledge between law enforcement authorities.
