Dr Christopher Kurz is Head of Translation Management at the wind turbine manufacturer ENERCON, leading an international team of dedicated in-house Language and Translation Quality Consultants, Project Coordinators and Corporate Terminologists. He holds a degree in translation studies for English and Italian as well as a PhD in Translation Quality Management at the University of Leipzig and a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt. Having been part of ISO's translation standards community since 2011, he was involved in the development of ISO 17100, ISO 18587 and other standards such as ISO 11669. He is the project leader of ISO 5060 - Evaluation of Translation Output that was published in 2024. Together with Jean-Marc Dalla-Zuanna he is the co-editor of the translation quality book Translation Quality in the Age of Digital Transformation.
